Issue - Player farming ELO through abandoning games

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing something that I'm sure other users have seen as well.

Here's the gist:
1. A player with a high ELO opens several 2-players games of Go Nuts with Donuts, without a time limit.
2. I enter one of them.
3. The other player plays pretty quick.
4. I'm about to win.
5. Before doing his last move that would end the game, he suddenly stops playing.

Suspicious, I go check his playing history.
1. Out of 34 games, he has won 31.
2. However, I can also see, without seeing the details, that he has about 20 games that were left unfinished.

So it clicks in my mind: that player opens games with no time limits, and abandons them when he's about to lose. This way, they force the game into an eventual draw and saves his ELO.

This is obviously a very anti-fun thing to do, and I would like to report them for it, but there's no reporting topic that seems to match this. I don't want to report him for something approximative because I don't want the mods to punish me for it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I don't understand why 'no time limit' option is not limited to Training mode.

I can maybe understand if a player has some health issues (say someone was dealing with something with spells of vomiting so would maybe need 10 minute breaks at times), but I would like to see there being maybe an additional confirm step/warning before accepting starting a game with no time limit

The other good question in relation to this player would be why that a player whos access was restricted permanently still is allowed to practice this manipulation, obviously not just in one game, continously stripping rewards from fair players…

Turn-based is well-suited for that case, no need for opening 'no time limit' to normal mode really.
Even with time limits turn-based system can be abused, hence BGA introduced Arena turn-based regulations.
Besides, real-time tables can be changed into turn-based on the spot with agreement.
