Seven Wonders Duel Rules Are Not Correct

Specifically, the way the player who starts the next age is chosen is not correct. Here is the relevant passage in the rulebook:
The player with the weakest military chooses which player begins the next Age. A player has a weaker military if the Conflict pawn is on their side of the board. In a situation where the pawn is in the middle of the board, the player who begins the next Age is the last active player (meaning whoever played the last card of the previous Age).
The player who "begins the next age" is the player who goes first. If the players are tied on military, nobody gets to make a choice for the start of the next age. The player who took the last card must go first in the next age. On the website, however, the player who took the last card gets to choose who goes first. This is actually a substantial advantage.

...The rulebook you quoted says completely differently, and the implementation works as per the rules written on the rulebook.

He does have a point though. The text he quoted seems to be from an older, but still quite recent version. It's possible that many physical versions of the game contain this older rulebook.

There also seems to be a discrepancy between the rulebooks in different languages. The English and French one describe the rule as currently implemented, but the Dutch rulebook, for example, doesn't (yet?).

[This translates to: the last active player begins (no choice)]

As much as possible, bga adaptations relies on game last edition, base language being English, so no big here as it implements correctly last English edition

By the way, there is a report bug tool on Community menu ;)

While it's purely theoretical, shouldn't the base language be the one from where the game was first designed and published?
In particular, for 7WD, the original rules are likely in French, and the English ones are a translation (and I'd assume the "old" version was simply a translation error from French to English, which cascaded into errors in other languages that referred to the mistranslated English version rather than the original French one).

I say base language is englush because the rule for game development at BGA is English first, no matter the language the game was designed with.
