How long to wait for a response from BGA?

Hi,

I've fixed a number of bugs and made a number of enhancements to Hex (Studio project: "hexupdate"). As requested in the documentation, I then sent an email to studio@boardgamearena.com, describing the changes I made and requesting permission for alpha-testing.

The documentation also states that the BGA team is busy and I should be patient if they don't get back to me right away. So I somewhat arbitrarily decided to wait 2 weeks.

I still haven't heard back. At what point should I start to worry? I don't want to be impatient, but I also don't want to wait months and then find out that my email was lost, or do more work and then find out that my contributions will not be considered.

Also in line with the documentation, I am now consulting the developer forum. What are the experiences of other developers? How long is a typical wait? What is the best way to proceed?

Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry about the delays. As you have certainly noticed, the studio is currently very busy with a huge number of games being developed.

So it's difficult to keep up with all requests at the moment, and we tend to prioritize new games in regards to changes to already published games (even if they have some imperfections; as you certainly know as a developer, making any change to software is not without its surprises).

That being said, we may have missed your email: if you waited 2 weeks and got no answer from us, it's perfectly valid to ping us again about it.
