I've seen a couple of cases where there was a clear racial abuse go into a 10 game mute or something similiar.

I think in cases like that banning the account should be the way to go.
If someone is behaving like that he has no place being in any community.

I can provide examples, but I think witch hunt is against TOS.

It is reprehensible, but after a stern warning they might adjust their behaviour. Direct threats for example are much worse and should result in an immediate ban.

You could quote message, without mentioning the players name?
If you clearly define it as being a quote, with proper context, nobody will accuse you of saying the racist slurs.

GG could mean anithing, my size GG, or GG Could mean Grundelyn Gay. So this is racist and homophobic.

I tend to think that for racist comments, a sterner warning should be in order immediately. No one should need to "learn" not to say things like that. Perhaps not an eternal ban, but a 10 day account ban might be better. Is a chat ban even a punishment lol?
