Board Game Arena

Hi everybody

I've got a few suggestions for making groups a bit more of a useable tool on the site
1 - Changing the search so you don't need an exact match for the group name

2 - Enabling people to find games restricted to their groups easily

3 - Creating channels within groups to help manage discussions

I've raised them as separate suggestions so people can vote for any as they see fit, and I feel it's a bit more helpful to developers to see specific fixes rather than a general "Can you please make the groups a bit better to use" which may mean things to different people. I'd also highlight this one asking for options like polls and gifs/images in the group chat areas

And while you're at it: this bug is still open. Hidden groups aren't really hidden (comments on posts are visible):

While I agree in principle, this does make it harder for developers to find all suggestions related to groups. So I would suggest at least linking them in this "main" report: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=29052

I assume that any updates to the group system would be part of a larger site redesign anyway.
