Rules question - Rock/Paper/scissors with inflation

Post by Jest Phulin »

So, just a general rules question.

Someone played the rock/paper/scissors card, and we thought the battle would end after one person won the first two rounds. But, the system requested a third round.

It was only later that we realized that the Inflation card was also in play.

So, just mild curiosity: Does the system require 3 rounds even if one person wins the first 2, or did it need to decide a 4-round match? If so, what would happened if it was a 2-2 tie?

Well, it MIGHT mean that both players keep their cards if a 2-2 happens on a 4 round. Like nobody won, nobody lost... Although I didn't know that possibility existed... I only had a regular 3 round. Good question for IRL play though.

Yes, as you discovered Inflation also affects the number of rounds one needs to win in a RPS showdown.
It is implemented like that, so "you need to win 2 rounds of RPS" becomes "you need to win 3 rounds of RPS".
