Get rid of "... is now offline", "... is now online" messages

Like title says, is there really no way to configure this messages? I get spammed ingame by log entries from friends. I just don't want to see the on/off messages.
Is the only solution to unfriend the people?

There's no way to remove this. I checked in the profile settings. So the only way for you to stop receiving those would be to remove your friend for now
