I have seen the topic of having to click 'pass' even when you've no Phase card and the reason seems to be that it would give information about whether you had a card or not for a certain phase.
I would like to suggest a count-down timer that will automatically pass if a person has no card for that phase(after maybe 5 seconds)
I apologise if there's an obvious reason this wouldn't work but thought it might be a good suggestion

That wont work in TB anyway and real time is probably not that big of an issue anyway so i dont see any possible enhancement

I've seen an automatic count down for a persons play in other games.
Dunno what TB means in this context but I do know that at least one person I know doesn't play Not Alone on BGA that plays it in real life because of the implementation and this issue specifically.
What counts as a 'big issue'? The enhancement is increasing people's enjoyment of the game
Edit:
I'm gonna take a stab and guess you might have meant turn-based. I don't know why it wouldn't work in this instance. I mostly play turn-based with friends.

If the other player is offline in a turn-based game, then you will see that the game automatically skip his turn after 5 sec, thus revealing information. So I don't see any option to make this auto-skip thing viable for turn-based game.
Which means it would only be for real-time, where you expect players to be at the table and looking at the game anyway, so that would not change that much the experience overall IMO.
