Board Game Arena

Arena searches are garbage. You wait forever and if you drift away because you've been waiting so long, a game starts and you get dinged. The experience just feels bad. In some cases, I've had an Arena search stay active while I am playing another game. Then when I've finished that game the search keeps working even though I am not actively looking for a game.

There must be a way to provide a better experience. For the dubious goal of keeping players from dodging matches against other good players, you create bad feelings and lame losses of points.

If you play turn-based you won't have to worry about long waiting times.

BGA also experienced once with an arena system where games start only every 30 minutes etc... But that idea was dropped, I wish a retry was made for that.
