Competitive level?

I am not sure what this is... perhaps something for the solo mode? I know the original game has a scoring checkpoint system to measure one's success in solo mode so I am puzzled as to what this is without playing several games.

Just look at the possible options...
Beginner, normal or banlist, that speaks for itself (there are additionnal description if you select each one of these)
