Designed by David Short, Automobiles is a deck‑building game in which the fun is cubed- because instead of using cards to build a deck, you build with your collection of cubes. These cubes not only allow you to race your car around the track, but also allow you to improve your handling, to optimize your pit crew, and to boost your speed, all of which are your keys to victory!

Depending on how many laps you choose to play, the focus of these two tracks varies. Fewer laps means more emphasis on beginning to drive early– and a much stronger luck-of-the-draw impact. More laps means more emphasis on crafting a strong deck capable of moving your car significant distances each turn. Maybe even multiple laps in a single turn! So, you can (to a certain extent) customize the degree of luck in the game.

The goal of the game is to cross the finish line first! You accomplish this by customizing your race car and surrounding yourself with the best crew. Your race car and crew are represented by a collection of cubes garnered from various options available to you. Starting with the same small set of cubes, each player builds their collection as they play the game. Use these cubes to enhance your performance, train your pit crew, and ensure your race car runs as effectively as possible. Be the first to cross the finish line and watch that checkered flag wave!

The game offers most of its replayability through the various cube abilities. There are also 2 tracks to choose from. This is a race game that offers enough possibilities to keep you coming back to the track again and again. And the expansion is implemented too!

Amazing to see this nice bag/deckbuilding game out here. Hopefully we'll see Trains, Valley of the Kings, and Cubitos soon as well!

Aren’t there more than 2 tracks that have been implemented ?
Plus there are a lot of re-playability with optional driving rules, driver special effects and sponsors

This is a great game. Been playing a lot of turn based though the beta and maybe alpha too.

There are 5 tracks as they included the 3 expansion tracks as well as the original 2.

The range of choice you get in terms of the cube powers used, special driver abilities and being able to do multi-race tournaments is excellent.

Great use of ski-suit Flanders. It feels like he's wearing nothing at all

I'm really happy this game showed up. I always wanted to try some racing board games and this one looks like so much fun!

But the key bit missing is the ability to see what you have in your bag (and other player's bags). since you can see all this information in the game log, it should be open knowledge and certainly is a key piece of information when you are planning your move/purchases. please, publish bag contents.

WHAT IS WITH BGA AND THE SIMPSONS?

There is an option when setting up a game to show everybody's bag contents.
