many false game starts

Is there a reason that we have to endure 3-5 false game starts before we can play a game? (each time)
you click accept and then within seconds the game is cancelled and forces the rest to quit the game - - - forcing the rest to quit.
then you get a bunch of update messages over and over again telling you people left the 'game'; that never existed in the first place.
seems to happen more when there are more than 4 players.
if people hit cancel before the game actually starts - why include them in the player list and forward the game to us??
