What is the value of 8-8-J-Q

Post by felipe1982 »

Somebody plays 8-8-J-Q (two wild cards)

Is it equal to 8-8-9-9 or 8-8-8-8?

Can it be beaten by 9-9-J-Q or by 9-9-10-10 or 9-9-9-9?

that's a good question, seems the first player have to declare which lead you will use for this round:

so 8-8-J-Q can be 8-8-9-9 OR 8-8-8-8 (but not both)

i would like confirmation too!

Hi,
do you a have a game in mind where you witnessed this ?

I haven't played Haggis for a while but I think player's choice might be read in the log on the right under players' panel.

Sean Ross replied at bgg. Tldr. You can choose when you play.

In this case, BGA displays a choice for you : set of 4 cards or 2 * 2 cards. And this choice is clearly indicated to all players
