In Veletas, when I'm watching a game in progress or replaying a finished one, if I click on a previous move and then on "Replay from this move", nothing happens. Is this normal? If so, what does that button actually do?

This is not specific to Veletas. "Replay from this move" works only during a game in progress, for the players engaged in the game (not for spectators). We should probably remove the button in other contexts to avoid confusion, but counting this thread I'm aware only of two people noticing this so it's a low priority improvement.

There is far more than 2 people having experienced this problem, it's an well known issue, especially with people trying to study replay in abstract games.

I said "I'm aware only of two". Now with you that makes it three, and you suggest there may be more, but without providing anything more concrete than a general affirmation. Any report or suggestion collecting votes on this you'd have noticed?

I'm using a lot the replay function and often analyse games, but I didn't knew it.
I'm only using games which are finished (and the function 'go to move X') since you can try to find what you are searching for, and skip sometimes 10+ moves, or more (one game in the crew is ~30moves per example). Never the current games. (+I play real time, so if someone report a game, there is higher chance that game is real time, so higher chance it's finished)

My friends and I like to talk about games that we’ve played against others. It would be nice to be able to find a position and send to them to show something
I thought this was going to be possible with replay from move x. It wasn’t. I felt misled
