Hi bga- owner.

Though I didn't loose I am Out of a tournement. The tie- breaker ist that the other Gamer is longer bga- member. That happened in Piraten Kapern and I think now also in lucky Numbers.

I think a tie-breaker should be fair to all Gamers!

For example 1 round More ....

fine... a random dice throw? handled by the tournament, not the players, say 5 dice to add more chance of not just a terrible throw...
or maybe best out of three 3d6 tosses?

"This player wins because they found the site first" is just awful

I like random, but i know a lot of players that would complain that random is not random if they are on the bad side (of course they wont complain about that on the other side...)

Maybe let the player with lower ELO go through to the next round, as tieing was more of an achievement for them?

I would hate to lose out in a tournament either to a random dice throw or to a player with longer membership.

Longer membership doesn't even involve your first game on a certain game... That's as weird as thinking time.

ELO feels like a better fit, but also somewhat "random" (either being new or old to a game effects ELO...)

I dont Understand why a fair tie- breaker for example 1 round More should be unfair for the other Players but a tie- breaker which choose the longer member ist very unfair because you have No influence or Chance.

The master of the lucky Numbers Tournament tell me also that's different and random decides.

Random With dice for example ist Not the best Option for the Gamer But everyone has the Same Chance and that's fair.

Maybe pick the one with the cutest avatar. Then you would stand a very good chance.

Why should they wait for you ? And what if the extra round is a tie again ? And again ? And again ?...
Tournaments are organized in a very specific amount of time, and you can't just make everyone else wait because you have a tie, that's just way more unfair for all other participants.
Don't be mad about tournaments arbitrary tie-breakers, be mad about game designers that didn't think about a tie-breaker in their game.
