Try this Game!

I think that this is one of the best games on board game arena and I’m surprised at the amount of people that play it. If you haven’t already played, you should try it, it’s really easy! :D

It's fun to play in between in my opinion, but not a top game. The chaos in higher player count games is attractive at first, but can also grow old rather quickly. But probably the main reason it doesn't get played more (next to the big amount of games available overall), is that in my opinion it works much better in real time than turn based. But not many people play real time.

I think that is absolutely not true. I think there were statements by the BGA team that the majority of games played are real-time games.

I even found a post from sourisdudesert which is only about Arena games, but there the percentage of turn-based games was only 8%.

That is only true for Arena. The majority of games is turn-based. Check this link (or any player's list of ongoing games) to see the stats, below the player's own current games: https://boardgamearena.com/gameinprogress. It isn't even close.

Don't get me wrong. Rereading my previous post, it sounds more negatieve about the game than it was intended. It's fun I guess. I just prefer games like Sushi Go, which for me have more tactics to them. But to each their own of course.

Although we are getting off-topic here, have you considered that there are so many more ongoing turn-based games because, well, they last very long and real-time games tend to finish quickly? I am pretty convinced that there are overall many more real-time games than turn-based games played on the site. However, only true stats could show this and until some stats are released, we both only speculate. No sense in discussing this further. :)

BTW: I also think this game of Donuts is great!

I mostly like medium or heavy games, and this is a sure contender for my best light game because it actually can get quite deep and it's fun to guess what other players do!
