Hi folks,
I ran a single elimination tournament in P.I. and the final two played to a complete tie.
P.I. scoring is points. Then standard game play tie breaks are number of investigators, then penalty points. They were even on everything. If this were a normal game, the system would call it a tie.

But in the tournament, the system declared one the winner over the other. The 2nd place player asked why. So, I am asking the community.

* I have seen people say that lower ranking wins ties, but the higher ranked player was named winner. That's not it.
* I have seen people say here that longer membership in BGA wins ties, but the newer player was declared the winner. That's not it.
* I know that in round robin play, total point differential in the tournament games played is used for placement, but the 2nd place player had a better point differential. So that's not it either.

Is it random flip, or is there a determiner?
