Players?

The Arena seems to have fewer than 10 players in it and I have not seen many reports of full games in the group
https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=9176334. The system claims over 200 games but a lot of them are no time limit so might be ghosts. I wonder how many currently active players there are?
So, if you are active give a shout out here and say what sorts of games you are playing. At the moment I am playing exclusively Main Events - I have a triple going with ARAXOTORG and Gumers, am just finishing one with Gumers and Kambaaa, and am into the endgame in games with Joraal and Lugheir, and Lanx5 and wksp, and playing a duel with CornetofHorse. I know wksp is a regular player but I'm not sure how many of the others.

I'm active - have a handful of games going on between tournaments, training games, and Main Events.

Not enough time with work, USE bug fix, TALON dev and SE4X dev too

EDIT : 1 scenario and 2 main events.

I am an active player, as you writen. I know, Remty, Gumers, Araxotors and Gusgibson are usually regularly playing . At least every day or two.
If someone is intersted in play with some active player i suggest to write priwate massage to some of declerated one.

I just play the main event with my son who is in the same house as me.
We have played through twice taking about 6 months each time.
Sometimes nothing happens for a few weeks and then we pick it up again.
I can't enter the arena due to the 100 points restriction. From playing other games on BGA it looks like it would take a very long time to get to 100.
It's a shame there is no replay as it would be great to go back over what happened.

USSR 41 and Main Event 1944-5. The first is an entirely playable game in its own right, the second has victory condition problems, but both teach valuable (though not directly transferable lessons) about one of the two important operations and the end game. Since you only go up before reaching 100 Elo you only need to win 1 or 2 games against experienced players or slightly more if two beginners are bouncing off each other. If you play the Main Event 1944-5 that will happen relatively quickly because the allied should consistently win the scenario barring very bad luck on weather.
Yes, when then game launched it was possible to use replay on shorter scenarios, but I think even that no longer works.

A couple of us who normally play wargames on Vassal opened the US module to check it out. We were looking to see how the module worked, but it's also worth mentioning that we are not very experienced with BGA in general.
We did not make much progress in the first pass, so I came back later and watched the tutorial. It's a very well done tutorial for the most basic move/fight mechanics, but not much beyond that. Which is understandable given the complexity of the game.
Next I tried to create a solo game to explore the module in more detail. Unfortunately, BGA seems to be very unintuitive in this regard. Looks like you have to set the number of players to 1, but then to start a game it requires you to "open your table to other players". And then gives you a warning that you are about to play a game with real players. Which is clearly not what I wanted, and probably not what was going to happen.
Looks like there is a video as well, and I will try that later when I have more time. At this point, though, I have a hard time imagining that I would play any wargame on BGA when Vassal is available.
To be clear, I think it would be great to have more crossover between the wargame and general boardgame communities. And it's great to see that BGA is working on this. But first reaction is that there's a long way to go. I will keep coming back, and looking forward to checking out the video! ANd great to see that Sal is actively involved in this.
EDIT: Bringing this back in line with the OP's intent, I did some looking and there are a ton of recently started active games. One of the ladder guys also had a couple of open tables offering to teach. I would say, even if you know the game, it will take a teaching session to figure out how the BGA module works. I have some questions but will find a better place to post them.
