Ties in Single Elimination tournaments.

Hello, I created a Piraten kapern tournament (https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=101030) and I'm playing in it, of course.
In match 2, me and my opponent tied 6300-6300. You can see the game here: https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=205973764
But I proceeded in the tournament, while my opponent was eliminated.
Is there a reason for that? Random? Better Elo? Membership? Cleaner tooth? Thanks for your attention.
