hello and good morning.
my name is tina.

i have a curious question.

my partner and i and 2 others are RVERs who travel full time but also heavy into board games.
we are trying to find some good games that are "space efficient" easy to learn challenging to master for a max of 4 players.

any suggestions greatly apreciated

Card games can be quite compact. My favorite is Team Play.

https://wizkids.com/team-play/

You have a deck of red and blue numbers, 1-8, and a deck of goals like "four of a kind" or "run of 3 cards, in blue". Each player is dealt a personal goal, and there is one goal in the middle of the table that anyone can try for.

On your turn, you can draw 2 cards, lay down cards that match your goal, and pass 0, 1, or 2 cards to your teammate. What makes me love this game is the way you communicate with your teammate without talking and work together to accomplish goals. I love guessing what's in my teammate's hand and trying to find the card they need.

I suppose it doesn't look like much, but minimalistic communication games (like Codenames) are my sweet spot, and Team Play hits it dead center.

Sprawlopolis is tiny even with expansions.

I sometimes wish there was a literal weight rating on BGG.

How about The Crew: Mission Deep Sea?

Also, what are RVERs?

People who live in recreational vehicles (camoers) full time. :)
