Ranking in a game

In case of same final points and same number of cards purchased, how is designated the winner ? I have the case in a tournament and I cannot reply to participants.

Whoever took fewer cards if I recall correctly. Not sure what happens if you have same number of cards

If same # of points and same # of cards,
It's a tie tie. I know cause I tend to get quite a few number.
I even got a triple tie both with point and card numbers.
Also, the rule book does say that least number of cards breaks points tie and same number of cards is a final tie.
