Hide player score during active games

One of the fun aspects of games is hidden points. Without pulling out a calculator, it can be difficult to figure out where you stand in games like russian rail roads, carcassonne, etc. It would be great if we could have an option to toggle off point calculation while the game is active, so you have the end of game surprise.

I am not familiar with Russian Railroads, but Carcassone very much has a score board visible to all players during playing. Otherwise how would anyone know how much the meeples that have already been returned to player pools have scored?

The physical game of Russian Railroads also has a scoretrack. Maybe the OP is referring in that game to the fact that the player panels show clearly what each player will score in that round's end-of-round scoring, which in the real game is determined only when actually doing the scoring. But I like it this way, it shows you clearly each player's current potential and it could in principle always be calculated.

Maybe not for other players, at least in online platforms.
Plenty of online game apps and implementations outside BGA also add running score calculator.
Running score is not a hidden information per se for both examples, after all.

I likely mispoke on the examples.
I'm well aware that many games keep a running score. The point of the ask is for a way to turn that off. Many of the games (7 wonders, Nidavellir) are calculated at the end of the game. This leads to some surprise finishes. I'm ok to set it for games that are normally calculated at the end of the game, but I'd like to see it available to all.

Many players (including me) do NOT like "hidden scores" or "hidden money" when (in fact) the game gives you perfect information and thus good memory and/or notes lets you track this...
It's actually pointless, given that the player can keep track of it during the game AND it removes one of the major advantages of online play - having the computer due the bookkeeping.
Obviously this is not the case where various hidden score mechanisms (secret objectives, secret random bonuses) contribute to the scoring - these should always be secret until end of game...
