Reporting players feature

So, one of the small cracks that I noticed was that, unless I've played with a player, I can't report them in any way as, the feature to do that simply refers me to the thumbs down button, which requires me having 'met' them in a game.
Having reached elite, one starts taking notice of who is occupying the top spot:
https://boardgamearena.com/player?id=84 ... astresults
And, if you look at the profile for 'games played' there's a clear pattern of abuse present for King of Tokyo.
Perhaps having the option to report without the need to have 'met' a person might help. Or, the alternative which would be to post such profiles on the forum.
Thanks for your time.

On the player's profile in the upper right corner between "add to my friends" and "message" you find "report this player".

Yes, that directs you to use the thumbs down feature, as I indicated in my post.

I think it depends on your reason. Maybe the reason you have is not report-worthy on BGA-terms? Have you tried to go another path in that menu? (I'm just guessing... I never reported anyone that way...)

I must be missing something. The profile you linked to has a decent but not amazing set of results, against a variety of opponents and no obvious pattern or evidence of abuse. At least to my eye anyway. The player appears to be good at many games, ranking highly in many Elo tables, so that they are 12th Elo at King of Tokyo and currently first arena is again not suspicious. Was it the right profile you linked to? If so please could you explain what the clear pattern of abuse is? Thanks!
I do agree with you that there is clear abuse within arena for many games, which I always find quite baffling that anyone would feel the need to do. I like to muse on how any given type of gaming the system could be prevented. That's my interest in this forum thread.

The purpose of that system is to shield ppl off, and maybe to give red thumbs to others, but certainly not to do something against cheaters.
