No time limit games being automatically abandoned

Hi everyone! My friends and I were recently playing a game of SteamWorks. We usually play no time limit as we live in different time zones and often cannot complete a full game in one session. We haven't had any issues with this mode in the past. Two nights ago we played a game of SteamWorks and someone had to go to bed near the end of the game. When we woke in the morning the game had been automatically ended/abandoned. It said
"Game abandoned
Game has been closed automatically because no move has been completed for a long period of time."
Reviewing the time logs this occurred only about 90 minutes after the last action, and we double checked the settings/logs and no time limit was definately selected.
I submitted a bug report but am more worried this is a site issue and not specific to SteamWorks. Has anyone else been having this problem recently?
