Arena suggestion

It happens in some games that I'm waiting for players to join but after days of waiting the game I want to play is finishing with a note "game abandoned".
Is it possible to get some points in Arena in such a case? I do want to play but others who already reach the Elite league and claimed top position doesn't.

Just to clarify, your proposal is that arena points should be awarded for
not playing the game?

I admit it's rare but there are few games that are not popular and you never get a chance to play it in arena.
