I just noticed... there's a ton of premium games now. I have been a premium (supporter) member for a couple of years now, so not a big deal to me but just surprised.
What makes a game a premium game?

Publisher decision. That's all.
Even a free stable game can turn into a premium by publisher's call (eg. Hanabi, Jaipur, Can't stop) and vice versa (Jekyll vs. Hyde).

If a game is premium, the publisher makes money directly from the premium fee you pay to BGA.
If a game is free, the benefit of the publisher is only the gain of popularity from beeing present on BGA. Of course, in addition, some may be proud and satisfied that their game is easily accessible and enjoyed by many people.
