Hi,
By only the following 3 adjustments, we gained a much better Love Letter gameplay:
1. We use all cards of the expansion/big box also in a 3 and 4 player game.
2. For 4 to 8 players: When finally only 2 players are left, they compare their cards, just like when the deck is exhausted. The higher number wins. This makes a faster game, with less waiting time for the earlier eliminated players for the next round. The extra point you get when you played the Count, counts.
3. The Marshall is overpowered in the game and gains a heart for nothing but being eliminated. Therefore, in our games he only gains a heart, when the player is among the final two players (or more final players when the deck ran out) and is not the winner. This Leads to a funny hunt for the Marshall player.
These three rules made a very good game even more fun for us.
