Tags for friendlist - BGA Feature discussion - before putting it into suggestions

hey there had a list of features that would be nice here, so I wanted to discuss one of them - maybe there are some obvious disadvantages with it that I don't see (besides it being a ton of work for the devs of BGA :P ) - so I wanted to use this as a filter for the idea, maybe making it better in progress, or maybe scratching it and not waste devs time.

the idea would be general tags for added friends (or even people you sent a friend request, since that changed recently).

the reasoning/usefulness is that you could group friends by games, by knowing them personally, by skill level in games ( as in fun to play with vs just great personality) or anything someone might imagine or find useful.

further feature description is basically a carbon copy of what steam did at some point:
- people can have multiple tags
- you can sort and filter by tags
( - you dont have an ... not so great limit ... of only seeing 9 people that are online, in the drop-down)
[also you could have tags for tags as an upper category (for hierarchy, as in: friends that play tichu as category, and that play it good as sub category) , just not that restrictive as a folder system/categories since tags are not exclusive] <- but really optional, since one does probably not have so many people in the friendslist that you'd need hierarchical organizing instead of just using separate tags ( I assume people would have <1000 people in their friendslist )
- you can use that features in the drop-down and the overview

PS: the problems it fixes are hopefully clear; if not I'll add them later
PPS: would put it into suggestions in one week, if the idea survives this discussion

Edit: is the title so boring that nobody even read the post ?? O.o - already thought about making it something more click baity... "Woop Woop - looky here!!!" comes to mind :P

I would at the very least find it helpful to be able to categorise friends into two priority levels and have the drop-down take those priorities into account when there are too many friends online to show them all. The main reason that I use the drop-down is to join a table set up by someone in one of the groups I play with over Discord, and prioritising the two or three players in those groups who typically set up the tables would be convenient.

I would appreciate the possibility to add tags to friends and to be able to filter using these tags.
But I also thought that using groups would enable this. I feel this would be an easy implementation to enable to filter friends on the group they joined.

Also it says in the group tab that one can organize gaming events, but it's completely obscure to me how to do that.

How do you leave notes about friends? I did not know this was possible. Much more useful than tags for me.

Not about friends specifically, but about any profile. If you are in someone's profile, below the green and red thumb buttons, it says:
My personal note on - No personal note on GeraldineMerida - [Edit]

Thanks, but those notes don't show up in your friend list, where they would be helpful. You have to check each profile to find them.
