Friends that can "protect" an account's karma

It may have been commented sometime before but I miss having a guardian / friend / whatever that can "protect" an account's karma from sudden events simply by activating a time wildcard.

I have seen that recently someone in the forum commented that he had zero karma because he had suffered a typhoon in his area. (I hope everything is improving there)

I have also seen a person who is in zero karma for health issues.

In these cases, another player could activate a time wildcard for this person and give him some margin. Or let you know and have it activated. It would be a way of not giving a bad image for an unforeseen event and to reach a reputation that is very difficult to overcome ...

For this, I would simply enable a field in which each person can designate a friend who can make that decision for him. If that person writes to you, you only have to confirm if the other player designated him or not ...

then any person can create an alt account to protect his/her karma... The karma system would be useless.

I think for persons that haven't logged in in a given time period, it would be sensible to not drop elo down to 0. I know it sucks for all the opponnents, but still, if someone completely disappears for a while. Maybe losing karma should stop somewhere. maybe at 30 or 40 karma points. Like you can only lose 50/60/70 karma points max. between 2 logins.

On the other hand BGA-karma is probably not that important to you anyways, when you get into a situation like hurricane, hospital etc.

If you have access to your alternate account to activate your time wildcard, you also have access to your primary account. Maybe I'm not understanding it, but I don't see any sense in what you say ...

Anyway, that I can activate a time wildcard in a friend's account (wildcards that we all already have, is not something new) and that only gives you a margin of four days, I do not think it will break the karma system much...

it would also be a good idea to put a limit ... and easy to implement, I think
