Board Game Arena

Hi BGA,

I propose a new arena format.

Instead of the current format, where the most inactive player loses arena ranking for a turn-based game if the game does not finish, I suggest the game continues into the new season, so the inactive players who just don't have enough time (I'm a doctor and I have to work long hours trying to revive patients with cardiac arrest) don't feel dissapointed just because they didn't log on that frequently.

It would be abused by people who would start a bunch of games, finish the ones where they're losing, and then stall the ones they're winning until the next Arena season.

The solution to your problem would be
- play tournaments (good if you have lots of chunks of 5 minute free time during the day)
- play turn-based in non-arena mode
- only begin turn-based arena games near the start of the season
- play in realtime mode when you know you have time to yourself
