I used to play Hanabi. It is a very social game. People on there can be quite abusive. I reported a lot of users. When I would stand up to the abuse, people would then give me a thumbs down. I quit playing on October 31st because I couldn't stand the vitriol. During that time I received 10% of my thumbs as being thumbs down.

Since 10/31, From my recollection, I have received two more thumbs down. One time was when the clock ran out during the game because I had to attend to something else, and recently someone gave me a thumbs down likely because I beat them. Whenever this happens my reputation score immediately drops to 60%.

How can I get more thumbs up if I no longer play Hanabi? I don't want my reputation score to keep dropping to 60%. I can't join certain tables if my reputation score is low.

You are mixing up green and red thumbs, and karma. What are you talking about exactly?

Just play games, every finished game without being late = +1 karma. Karma can only go up and down because of actions by you. Finishing a game, or being late at a game, or quitting.

Green and red thumbs is an indication whether people like to play with you or not, this is each individuals choice. Also here you can only gain more green thumbs by playing well.

A moderator would understand.

Explaining thumbs to you would be a bit complicated.

From the FAQ:

If you receive too many 'Red thumbs' from the other players when compared to the amount of 'Green thumbs' received, your karma will be limited to a maximum value.

That is not 100% true.
Karma suffers a drop to 60% when a 10% Red Thumbs/Total thumbs received is met. But then... one can go back to 100% as usual, as long as the 10% ratio of red thumbs is not met again.

That make absolutely no sense. I didn't comment the first time you said it because I didn't think you were actually being serious. You're saying you could have 1000 red thumbs, and 1 green thumb, but 100% karma because it's not at 10%. The whole point of capping karma when falling below a threshold is to be a disincentive to getting red thumbs. It would serve no purpose if you could just keep behaving worse to get your karma up.
