No achievements for world rank?

I am playing this game quite a lot, and while I have been up to 4th place in world ranking ELO, I didn't receive any trophy for this, while I can see that a couple of my opponents indeed did receive a trophy for 10th and 5th place.
Before I file a bug report for this, does anyone know if this actually is a bug, or if there a different reason why I do not receive the achievements I should be eligible for in this game? Are they dependent on the number of active players?
