Board Game Arena

The message "[Player] is going to lose this game whatever happens" popped up in the game log of Castles of Burgundy a little while ago on Move 83. I have never ever seen a message like that on any game here. Is it a normal message, and I've just never noticed it before? I play CoB a lot, but I've been in other games where one player's victory was a mathematical certainty, yet I've never seen that. The player quit as soon as the message popped up. In my opinion he still had a good chance of winning at that point. Please tell me if this has ever happened to you on CoB or another game.

The order of events was exactly the opposite: the player quit, thus the system said whatever happens, he officially will be the one who has lost.

It's a standard message when people rage quit or when people are kicked because they're out of time
