In the last/final round....do you need to feed your men?
In other words...suppose you are on the ladder at 2 and you have 10 men. Do you need to have 8 food extra or do you get a 10 point deduction? This is only for the last round of the game!!!
So, do you feed your men for the next round of for the going round?

This actually is an expert strategy that leads to lots of controversy, "Starvation Strategy". For starvation strategy, you never take food, never take agriculture, and take the baby hut as often as possible. You take the 10 point penalty every turn for not feeding your people, BUT all those extra people get more than 10 points of resources.

It's a defect in Stone Age's rules, that the penalty for starvation is low enough that intentionally starving is a strong strategy.

If one player goes starvation strategy, the other players have to gang up on him or else he wins. They have to deny him the baby hut and end the game quickly by drilling down one pile of huts.

But yes, you do need to feed your people every round or take a 10 point penalty, including the last round.
