Lowest score - competition

Hi. Did anyone tried to achieve lowest score instead of highest and winning the game? If you burn your cards you will get 18 points and you might loose 6 if you loose all fights. Given 3 coins at start of the game you can end up with 13 points if no one buys stuff from you. Ive tried this once and I got 3 points. Anyone can beat that?

Well, theoretically, you can get lower if you buy worthless cards with your money from the ressources of your opponents. So, very much in theory, it is even possible to get a negative score at the end.
However, the low-scoring competition should be much more fun if throwing cards is not allowed. I guess then it is even hard to get below 30.

Just played a few games against AI. I played a card every round. A few times got 27, and once got 25. Stupid AI is always buying stuff.

Allow me to share the excellent variant called 7 Blunders:

The variant is somewhat well known here in Southern California, and sometimes Strategicon even has a tournament of it on a convention weekend. There is a bit of honor system required, as players can discard cards only if they have no other legal move.
I've played it on BGA a couple times with friends who were in the same room when we didn't have a physical copy of the game. My lowest score in this format is 20, though I'm sure that's easily beatable:

I will set up a training mode turn-based table if anyone is interested. 1 move / day.
Send me a DM for an invite.
I'll start the game by the end of Saturday, or if we reach a maximum of 7.
Rules will be to always play a card if able (honour system required). Lowest score wins.

Heh, this sounds fun, I'd like to join if you still have a free spot!

Hey! On 7 Wonders discord we have this game as lowest winning score + lowest score combined listed as a record. Its probable that someone somewhere had even lower score, but this is lowest we managed to record:

On the 1 game we had 115, but we weren't playing to co-operatively score the the lowest as a group, it was just lowest wins.
In Lumin's game the average is much lower even.
You should not be doing this in Arena mode, use unranked / training mode.
