Hi,

Before, this game only took like 15 maximum ELO away in a loss. Two times now I have got negative 39 points! In one game, I only lost by one piece! What happened to this game?

Also, it doesn't matter if you loose just by 1 point (or piece) or by a large margin, concerning ELO. What does matter is the ELO of the other player. If you loose versus a player who has much lower ELO, you will loose more ELO points. Likewise, you'll win a lot more if you win versus a player with much higher ELO.

Looking at your games history you have never had a loss of 15 ELO at backgammon, because you have always been in the new player 4x category so all your wins and losses have been big points changes.
