Scoring Question

How are carriages scored in the end? I thought it was simply the value of the carriage (7 carriage gives 7 points). But I see in this game that I finished with my token on the 6 carriage.. but i got 7 pts for it. And my opponent finished with his token on the 7 carriage but he got 10 points for it?

For each carriage, you can see the lenght of the road you need to build to get it in the top right corner. You can see its value in the bottom left
For the lenghts 3/4/5/6/7, the values are 2/3/5/7/10
