My name was LetsG0Brandon. They changed my name with out notification. My first name is Brandon. Why did they find a need to change my name?

I think you know full well what the problem is with the political slogan "Let's Go Brandon".
Your account was made last december, while the slogan got started earlier in september. Had it been the other way around, it would have been a whole different thing.
You can contact BGA directly, not through the forum, if they can change it to another name of your choosing, but they won't allow Let's Go Brandon. The fact that you put a zero instead of the letter 'o' would even lead me to believe you intentionally did it to avoid automatic detection by censors.

I used a zero instead of an "O" is because the name with an "O" was already taken. Censoring people for what is perceived as political slogan is a very slippery slope. Where does BGA draw the line?

The only political content I would view as acceptable for a BGA name is to argue who should be the King Of Tokyo.

Politics should stay out of boardgames.

Obviously Baby Gigazaur should be king.
Hopefully someday in the future we can also decide who'll be the King of New York and the King of Monster Island(release October '22)

I never once brought up politics. I was always on the receiving end abusive comments. I would even tell people it had nothing to do with Joe Biden and that I don't like Trump. I would still get called a Trumptard insurrectionist, that doesn't believe in science. BGA changed my name I believe because one person didn't like it. My name had nothing to do with politics.
