Board Game Arena

In Carcassonne with the river, while placing river tiles, I placed a river tile with a garden in the field. I was not given an option to place a meeple. A different color farmer was on the field, so that made sense. But I thought I'd be able to go on the garden. Was I not able to because there are no abbots?

I believe you are correct. The abbot is the only meeple that can be placed on a garden. I really do not understand why they chose to add the river expansion and not the abbot though...

There are some expansions there are missing, it's a shame; the flying machines or the witch and wizard... would be great if they added at some time in the game!
