Tapestry card : AGE OF DISCOVERY
Science track is rolled.
A neighbor is forced advanced to Medicine and gains no benefit (no Upgrade card scoring, no Tapestry card draw).
the Academy Building is available. A second neighbor is forced advanced into Academic Research and does not get the (wordy) 'benefit' but does get the Academy Building.
Is this correct, that a neighbor's forced advanced by the AGE OF DISCOVERY tapestry card they get no 'benefit' but may gain an available building?

Reply to myself here.

Excelent job Tapestry developers. The building is gained per the game designer on BGG.

I think buildings are gained by the first player reaching the step on the track. They are not benefits nor bonuses.

That's correct. Landmarks can always be gained by an advance, even if the means of advance says not to gain a benefit, a bonus, or both.
