New Badges

I used to get badges quite frequently. For example every time I won at a game for the first time I would get a badge. Now I don't think I have got a badge since I updated to premium. And I did not receive a badge for winning at Onitama for the first time. Any ideas what is going on?

You played Onitama in training mode, victories in training mode do not count.

The early badges for each game are always easier to earn. It's quicker to get 10 victories than 50 victories for example!
But you get lots of badges playing new games , and also each Arena season you go down leagues and win badges going back up again.

To be frank, I feel that Arena was introduced to give people who only play 1 game on BGA, the chance to win some XP points.
Because at some point, if they were good enough, those players would win all usual trophies in that particular game; and from what I heard, Tournaments don't give too many points.
Not just people who play one game - I got to the elite league of ten games last season, and won several Top 20 arena trophies too. Yes it definitely gives something new to aim for each 3 months but not just for players of a single game.
