Board Game Arena

There several games on the site that say they can be played single player. How do I start a game with only one player? Every time I try to start a game from the games tab, it keeps asking me to add another player before it will start. Can someone please tell me what i am missing.

You need to set your game to training mode first, then it will let you set the game to one player. You will also need to push the start game button.

open to other players, then start.

First you have to "create a new table". If you can't do this, it is another problem, for BGA doesn't know at this moment that you want to play in solo mode. Maybe you choose a premium game, where only premium members can create a new table (and you are not premium).

Next step is to select training mode on the left side.

Only after this you can change the number of players to 1. If you try to change the number of players before selecting training mode, BGA will give you a hint.

Now you have to click on the button "Open table to other players". This does NOT mean you are playing with others - it just starts your solo game.

Of course this instruction "Open table to other players" is not a good fit and should better be changed for solo mode.

Which game?
Thermopyles works only for 1 player, and you can play in normal mode. (Maybe it's an exception.)
