Is this card overpowered? I mean, you save it til late in game, when you know which track people are focused on, and gain some nice benefits for free, for instance, the last 3 advances on a track (which is common). What other card gives so many benefits?

Yes, Marriage of State is the card that has the highest ceiling in terms of potential.

One of the things that makes this card amazing (though this hasn't been implemented here on BGA) is that the recent clarification about activating spaces only once per turn only applies to your turn, not your opponent's turn. This means that if you have Marriage of State on someone and they do something that let's you activate a space again, you have no limit on the number of times you can activate that space. I can easily imagine ways to activate S11 at least three times this way, if not more.

That said, this is merely potential. The downside to Marriage of State is that nothing is guaranteed merely because you hold it in your hand. To get the most out of it you need to find the right time to take income to ensure that your opponent does what you want them to do. It's possible to get absolutely no benefit from this card if your opponent has a way to play around it without hamstringing themself.

I'd say it's an S tier card, but it's not an autowin kinda thing. I'd say Renaissance is better overall because you are much more in control and can reap a lot of benefit from it.

Please give me an option to not play with it (and renaissance). I’m fed up of having it played on me in age 3. It’s not fun, it’s just an npe

Please just give me an option to play without marriage of state, i swear It gets played on me 4 out of 5 games and it’s a massive npe at this point
