Being able to measure tiles before acquiring

In the physical game, you can simply take a desired tile, measure it to your board, and return it or acquire it if you have the Vikings and resources. But you can't with the BGA version, especially the oddly shaped special tiles. is there any way to include this in the BGA version, where you can take tiles you have yet to acquire and measure them, even out of turn?
