Have free premium months but still being charged

Hi...
I have redeemed many gift points for "free premium months" and on this page: https://boardgamearena.com/premium it says:
"Next invoicing: 2024-07-13"
However, in April 2021 my credit card was charged (even though I had many free months) and I just received a notice that my membership is going to be renewed on April 5th, 2022.
Am I missing something here? Is there something else I'm supposed to be doing? Is this a common problem or is this just me?
