I created my first tournament last week, and selected Swiss System for the type (didn’t see any reference to “V2”), so my question is: Are all recent Swiss System tournaments automatically V2?

What is V2? What is/was V1?

Yes, "V2" was a temporary name during when the swiss tournaments were in alpha, and in order not to break the previous tournaments.
