Hello,
I am a bloody newbie to this game.
I understand the rules just a little bit and I tried to play a few games ... always lost.
Have not found a good tactic to win yet, I guess
I have one understanding question, that I don't find a resiult nowhere.
How can I see the momentary standing during a game (NOT at the end of a game) ?
How can i see, who is momentary leader and who the second ?
Please can you help me ?
Thanks

You can see the points already earnt during the game in the upper left, under your forum name. However, that's mainly the points for huts. Most points are only counted after the game is over.

Well, it is a question of memorizing, what cards your opponent has, as there is no counter for totalpoints, only the in-game ones. But you can see, the amount of cards bought and the amount of buildings built.
I usually calculate the leading person by the following method (2 player games, no tests on more player games):
1 point per card
(Amount of cards/8) points per Building {which amounts usually to about 2}
So I just add the card number (for example 16) to the result of the building valuation {for example 6 buildings=16/2*6=12}. So 28 would be my in-game valuation of that persons (scoring) standing. You can multiply that by 8 and it very roughly fits the end score.
My calculations work based on the average, each card is worth and will score:
- Green cards are worth 8 score
- The more cards you buy, the more likely it is to have a lot of builders
- Buildings mostly score between 10 an 20 points, so they are as strong as 2 green cards, or one double yellow, if the conditiond are met. Some buildings score more though, some less, so it only works on average, might not work in your game.
- All yellow cards depend highly on the amount of enhancements the players have in this category. So memorizing makes sense as to knowing whether you're opponent got the important cards or not.
