How receptive to Fast Turn Based?

I love to play throughout the day but as the day allows and on multipule games. This is my favorite feature about BGA. However, my day isn't so crazy busy that I can't take more than one turn a day. It is plainly obvious that most turn based games are initated with the option of 1-Turn per day however. How recieptive is the community to the Fast Turn Based modes? Will my tables just sit empty because most don't like the option?

You can always setup your matchmaking preferences to highly favor faster turn-based time controls with the "I'm okay / I prefer not / I'm reluctant" options, so if anyone is matchmaking for these faster time controls there is a greater likelihood of you being matched but if absolutely everyone else is at 1move/24h you'll still end up with matches.

Some games, especially games with high movecounts like card games, typically have players looking for faster turn-based time controls.

I personally prefer slower turn based options, such as from 2 moves per day to 1 move per 2 days, because I also play inbetween tasks at the office.
It give me a short break to quickly make my move at 5 tables and resume working for another couple of hours until other tables announce my turn.

It doesn't force me to check my games every minute of the day.

Edit: it may depends on what type of game. I mostly play King of Tokyo, Bang! and Love Letter, and when I visit a table I sometimes have some notes written down, but it only takes me 5 seconds to analyze the table, all the cards in play and to determine the next best suitable move.
I can imagine other games taking more time to decide on your next move, so you want to play faster so that it remains in your memory.

I also like the fast turn based but just on weekends as I tend to stick with what seems t be the more typical 1 or 2 moves per day games during the week due to my schedule. My plan is just to open some tables on a Friday night or Saturday morning with the fast based turn options for the weekend and see what I get. I'm curious about if the tables will stay empty as well so we'll see.

For what it's worth, I've found a lot of "1/move per day" games move at a faster rate. I think there are a lot of people like you who have time to play but can't commit to playing a full game without interruptions. Higher player count influences this as well - with 2p games you can often go through a flurry of moves when both players are online at the same time.

I also suspect there are people (like me) who are reluctant to accept games with more frequent move rates because the maximum time bank goes down with the turn limit, to the point where you could lose games if you take a day off (or at least get lots of time penalties). (It's a reasonable system, it's just a trade-off that doesn't work well for that scenario.)

I avoid fast turn based mostly because timezones. 12 hour windows are too broad for me.

I end up just leaving everything at 1 move per turn, because it's just easier.

Although some of the longer card games I attempt to say I'd prefer 4. moves per day, but I've also occasionally struggled with that, so now I'm just no longer playing then in arena mode where they have to be finished by deadline. (They're on my to play realtime list, but I'm impatient enough that I don't actually want to wait and see if people will be available to play them)

4 moves per day means 6 hours per move. With the wrong timing, it will be your turn right after you log out for the night... that gives you less than 8 hours of sleep (plus anything else until you log in again), that's less than ideal. "Fast turn based" gives you a 12-hour time period to play, presumably time won't run out outside this period. I would like to see this option available to slower games too, possibly anything faster than 2 moves per day (i.e., 12 hours per move).

For games with low number of turns, you don't have to worry if you can't keep up with the designated pace.
A game with < 10 turns set at 3 turns per day usually ends before anybody times out even if you are playing at 1 turn per day, but it would be good if BGA can show us some statistics.
