Red thumb and arena matchmaking

Hello,

I have a question to BGA developers / admins: does the red thumbs influence the arena matchmaking ? I have the impression that some (high ranked) players block/red thumbs others simply because they lost against them, in order to meet less frequently good active players.

Sure it's better to do not meet people that you did hurt you, but such a behaviour could be not fair play.

This is less problematic for ELO ranking, since we all know that is flawed due to opponent selection.

Regards

I agree. At the very least, when someone who has given out a red thumb is waiting for a table in Arena with the red-thumbee, I think the red-thumber should be moved to the end of the line for getting seated at a table. The folks who are particular about who their opponents are (or hand out willy-nilly red thumbs) should be the ones who are forced to wait, not those who are willing to play with a wider range of people.

See this thread for more details on the issue underlying that suggestion - https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... =3&t=25230
