In a solo game, I have three federation tokens. Two of them are the 12-point token which doesn't have a green side. The other token gave me 8 victory points and a QIC. If I understand correctly, this token should have a green side and it needs to be green side up if I want to get an advanced tech tile. When does this happen? At the moment, the grey side is up, and the game doesn't give me an option to flip it.

It starts green side up. If it's gray, you've already used it for an advanced tech tile or a level 5 research.

Oh, I didn't realize it got flipped around when I got to level 5 research. Thanks for the tip! Now I know for next time
